How exactly does escrow work?

When the contract is signed, funds move into a Stripe Connect or Circle USDC escrow account. Each milestone is locked separately — once both sides confirm delivery, the milestone auto-releases (minus the 3% platform fee). Disputed milestones stay locked until arbitration closes.

What if the contractor doesn't deliver?

Funds stay locked in escrow. You can request arbitration at any time — the platform reviews the audit trail (commits, deliverables, messages) and rules on partial release, full release, or refund.

How does the platform verify specialists?

Identity verification (government ID + biometric), payment method, and domain skills inferred from delivered work on the platform. We do not accept self-reported portfolios as verified.

How much does it cost to start a project?

Posting a brief and matching with a crew is free. You only pay the 3% escrow fee when a milestone is released. Optional Pro/Business plans unlock multi-currency escrow, multiple active projects, SSO, and more.

What fees do you charge, and for what?

Two things, both visible up front. (1) A flat 3% escrow fee on each released milestone — it covers payment processing, the dispute infrastructure, and arbitration. (2) An optional monthly subscription if you want unlimited active projects, multi-currency, or enterprise features. No per-message, per-bid, or per-hire fees — ever.

Can I take a crew off-platform after a project?

Yes — you're not locked in. Both parties can choose to continue on or off the platform after the contract closes. Reputation only updates from on-platform work, though.

How is reputation formed — and can it be gamed?

Reviews are mandatory and two-sided at close-out. We weight by milestone size, on-time delivery, and verified deliverables. Anti-collusion checks flag patterns like circular reviews or repeat counterparties.

How does the platform resolve disputes?

Arbitration is run by a small in-house team plus rotating external reviewers. Both sides submit evidence; we read the audit trail; a binding decision lands within 7 business days for most cases.

Is this suitable for long-term projects?

Yes. Long-engagement crews can run on a rolling milestone cadence — bi-weekly or monthly — with the same escrow protection per milestone.

Which countries and currencies do you support?

USD, EUR, and USDC out of the box, with payouts to 40+ countries via Stripe Connect. Local currencies are added as we open new regions — reach out if yours isn't on the list yet.
